Bras for six-year-olds?

This week I broke a story about Marks and Spencer selling a bra top for girls of only six years old.

The feminist campaign group Pinkstinks were not impressed with the product and the children’s charity Kidscape thought it was part of a worrying trend of adult clothing being offered to children.

When I went to M&S for a comment they told me the labelling on the product was a mistake and that a description of it on its website, suggesting it offers a ‘great way of getting girls used to the idea of wearing a bra’, would also be removed.
